Jill Taylor - Practice Administrator and Pilates instructor

Jill qualified as an RGN (Staff Nurse) in London in 1976 and psychologist in 1992. Her interest in the mind/body link lead her to study Pilates and then train as a Pilates instructor with Alan Herdman in London.

Jill joined Physio for All in November 2005 as Practice Administrator but she also works as a Pilates instructor at Physio for All as well as the Alan Herdman studio in London. She is constantly excitied to see the changes in people body structure as they progress through the different exercises to work towards balance and tone in their bodies.

As well as swimming with dolphins and Pilates, her interests are cooking, theatre, opera, yoga and scuba diving.

Therapists

Christine Julien-Laferriere MCSP SRP MKDE

As a young gymnast, Christine became interested in athletic movement and injuries! She subsequently qualified as a physiotherapist in Paris in 1981.

Christine has worked in France, Norway, Germany and Scotland where she assimilated many techniques, before setting up "Physio for All" in 1991. She has also taken post-graduate studies in paediatrics, orthopaedics, sports injuries, and women's health and has trained as a cranio-sacral therapist.

Christine has 3 children, speaks French, English and German and is a very keen skier and tennis player.

Jackie Stanley Dip Phys. Dip MT, MCSP SRP

Having qualified in New Zealand in 1992, Jackie spent 3 years working within the NHS before returning to work in private practice in New Zealand.

There she completed her postgraduate diploma in Manipulative Therapy (sports and spinal) and studied acupuncture. She is highly experienced in treating work related overuse injuries and does ergonomic (work station) assessments.

In addition to this she enjoys postoperative rehabilitation and treating sports and spinal injuries.

Her interests include jogging, skiing and traveling.

Jackie has been with Physio for All for over 3 years.

Nigel Beach MCSP

Nigel graduated from Aukland Universiry, new Zealand in 2000 with a physiotherapy degree which was followed up by a postgraduate diploma in sports physiotherapy. After working as a physio in New Zealand which included looking after the NZ men's hockey team and a couple of rugby teams he came to the UK in 2003. With a focus on sports physiotherapy, Nigel has worked with both elite athletes as well as amateurs and has also specialised in spinal care, knee rehabilitation and corporate health.

Ellen Kaldor MCSP SRP

Ellen qualified in the United States in 1990 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. She has worked extensively in padiatrics in outpatient, NICU, inpatients and home care settings. Ellen has received Neurodevelopmental (Bobath) training in paediatrics and babies; studies motor learning and received a diploma in craniosacral therapy. She specialized in problems arising from prematurity and neuromotor deficits.

Ellen has 3 children and loves to run and play tennis.

Anne-Laure Espié MKDE, DO

Anne-Laure qualified as Physiotherapist in Paris in June 1996. She worked in both private and public sectors in France, where she developed a wide range of experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, paediatric, cardiology, respiratory, neurology and endermologic physiotherapy.

Her interests include skiing, running, travelling and the piano.

Denis Talbot

Denis qualified in Paris in 1983 and has spent much of his career within sports physiotherapy. He was one of the founders of CERS which has developed into a world renowned centre for the rehabilitation of elite sports professionals following serious injury. With 16 years experience, he has a unique insight and expertise in the treatment and follow up of sports injuries from the acute moment of injury until the return to the pitch. More recently he has worked closely with clubs like Fulham FC, Biarritz Rugby Club (and many French internationals) and most recently Chelsea FC where he dealt with the long term injuries and the rehabilitation pool. Denis is an ex-international level swimmer but still enjoys running, squash, tennis and skiing as well as attending concerts or ballet.

Janine Enoch

Janine qualified as a physiotherapist in Johannesburg in 2000. She worked extensively in South Africa in private practice including working with elite athletes and dancers. She thereafter worked for 2 years in the NHS primarily in Neurology, Rehabilitation and Adult Respiratory Physiotherapy. She has special interests in musculoskeletal conditions, manipulative therapy and dry needling acupuncture.

Atle Aunaas

Atle graduated from Oslo University with a batchelors degree in physiotherapy in 2005. Since graduating he has worked both in hospitals and the community and has specialised in paediatrics where he has experience of working with able children as well as those with severe learning difficulties. His work with children has taken him to nurseries, primary and middle schools. At present he is working as a Paediatric Community Physiotherapist at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as well as Physio for All. When not working Atle enjoys basketball, swimming and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Andrea Mosquero

Andrea qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002, in Bogota, Colombia. She was working in the private sector, specializing in orthopaedics and paediatrics before moving to England in 2003. Since living in the UK, Andrea has worked full time at Physio for All. Her particular interest lies in paediatrics and neurology as well as musculo-skeletal rehabilitation following injury.

Andreas hobbies include salsa, scuba diving, snorkeling and horse riding.

Lisa Cahalan

Lisa qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 with a master’s degree from the USA following which she worked in a Los Angeles hospital where she gained experience in orthopaedics, neurological and cardiac rehabilitation. She moved to London in 1999 where she worked in the NHS in orthopaedics, neurology, and care of the elderly. After 4 years she returned to New York where she studied Womens health and Paediatrics

Lisa then started a family and she now has two children (one daughter and one son) and having now returned to London with her family, she started working at Physio for All in March 2008 with a special interest in women’s health.

When not running around with her children, Lisa enjoys jogging, swimming and dancing.

Rachael Summers

Rachael graduated from St Martin's College in 2006. Having a keen interest in both research and chronic pain, she then studied for an MSc in Pain Science and Management and following this began her PhD at St George's University, looking into the use of goal-setting to enhance the well-being of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Rachael's work in chronic pain have a her a deep appreciation of the importance of social and psychological factors in patients well being and their impact on care.

In her spare time she enjoys socialising , running and playing in a brass band.

Brigitte Rinner - Sophrology

Trained at the "Academie de Sophrologie Caycedienne de Paris" and then with Pr A. Caycedo for her Masters, she has been practicing sophrology in London for 2 years, introducing the technique in U.K.

She helps adults as well as children to learn how to relax, to cope with anxiety, stress, to prepare for a forthcoming event by becoming more aware of their body and mind and the way they both function. Sophrology aims to help us to take an active part in our lives and to enable us to live each day with more awareness.

Brigitte enjoys her early morning jogging and has 3 children

Sara Gallie - Pilates

Trained at the Royal Ballet lower and upper schools.  She went on to dance professionally at the RoyalBallet Company in London for 18years where she worked through the ranks to soloist level.  After her dancing career she took teaching exams in Cecchetti Ballet and ateaching course with Alan Herdman at Alan Herdman Pilates Studio in London.

Sara is currently working for Alan Herdman in his London Studio and also instructing new teachers on the teacher training course.  She also works at Central School of Ballet.  She has also worked at: The Harbour Club, Grayshott Hall, Royal Academy of Dance and was part of the
original team at Central Pilates in Islington.

Sara has been a member of the Physio For All team since May 2002.

Sarah Parkinson- Pilates

Sarah trained at the Royal Ballet School and continued her ballet career for several years in the UK and Germany. She first trained with the Pilates Institute and has continued her studies with body Arts and Science International and Alan herdman Pilates. She has been a fitness instructor for over 10 years and enjoys teaching Pilates because it helps to sculpt and fine tune our bodies ina calm and stress free environment. The result is an overall growth in confidence, better quality of movement and posture whilst gaining strength and toning.

Sarah joined the Physio for All team in 2007.
