Christine Julien-Laferriere MCSP SRP MKDE

Christine is the founder of 'Physio for All' and has over 20 years experience working as a physiotherapist. As a young gymnast, Christine became interested in athletic movement and injuries and she subsequently qualified as a physiotherapist in Paris in 1981.

Christine has worked in France, Norway, Germany and Scotland where she assimilated many techniques, before setting up 'Physio for All' in 1991. She has also taken post-graduate studies in paediatrics, orthopaedics, sports injuries, and women's health and has trained as a cranio-sacral therapist.

Christine has 3 children, speaks French, English and German and is a very keen skier and tennis player.

Anneri Strydom BSc in Physiotherapy, MCSP

Anneri qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa, in 2005 where she worked in both private practice and private hospitals. The majority of her work has been in orthopaedic (spinal, upper and lower limb, peripheral nerves) and peadiatric respiratory conditions. She completed a post-graduate diploma in Orthopeadic Manipulative Therapy before relocating to London. Prior to joining the Physio for All team, she worked in private practice specialising in whiplash-related, muskulo-skeletal injuries and medico-legal physiotherapy.

Her interests and skills lie in spinal orthopaedics, lower limb rehabilitation, dry needling and manual therapy (MSK and neural) to optimise functional return to a healthy lifestyle and also paediatric respiratory conditions.

When she’s not working, she enjoys travelling, running, cycling and cooking!

Jackie Stanley Dip Phys. Dip MT, MCSP SRP

Jackie qualified as a physiotherapist in New Zealand in 1992. Since then she has worked in london and New Zealand and has completed a post-graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and has studied acupuncture. After returning to london in 2001, Jackie joined the Physio for All team in Battersea.

Her clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of sports and spinal conditions. She takes the post-natal exercise classes at The Battersea Practice and treats many women suffereing from ante and post-natal disorders. Jackie's clinical practice includes a detailed assessment of biomechanics followed by a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription.

Her interests include jogging, skiing and traveling.

Nigel Beach MCSP

Nigel graduated from Aukland Universiry, new Zealand in 2000 with a physiotherapy degree which was followed up by a postgraduate diploma in sports physiotherapy. After working as a physio in New Zealand which included looking after the NZ men's hockey team and a couple of rugby teams he came to the UK in 2003. With a focus on sports physiotherapy, Nigel has worked with both elite athletes as well as amateurs.

Nigel's approach is to isolate any abnormal movement patterns and utilise mobilisation, acupuncture and manipulation to promote better movement and reinforcing that with a tailored rehabilitation programme. Headaches, neck, back, knee and shoulder pain are special areas of interest.

Anne-Laure Espié MKDE, DO

Anne-Laure qualified as Physiotherapist in Paris in June 1996 specialising in manual therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy and visceral fascia work. She worked in both private and public sectors in France, where she developed a wide range of experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, paediatric, cardiology, respiratory, neurology and endermologic physiotherapy. She now specialises in women's health, baby cranial sacral therapy and musculo-skeletal (spine) areas.

Her interests include skiing, running, travelling and the piano when not looking after her two children of 3 years and 6 months.

Janine Enoch

Janine qualified as a physiotherapist in Johannesburg (University of Witwatersrand) in 2000 and has been with Physio for All for over four years. She worked extensively in South Africa in private practice for four years including working at many international sporting events including the All Africa Games, Nike Premier Occer league and the gruelling Comrades Marathon. She has worked with many elite athletes and professional dancers. Thereafter she worked for 3 years in the NHS primarily in Neurology, Rehabilitation and Adult Respiratory Physiotherapy.

She has special interests in neuromusculoskeletal conditions and manipulative therapy and is currently undertaking a post-graduate study as an associate of the renowned Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Andrea Mosquera

Andrea qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002, in Bogota, Colombia. She worked in public and private sectors, specialising in orthopaedics and paediatrics before moving to England in 2003. Since living in the UK, Andrea has worked full-time at Physio for All.

Her particular interest lies in paediatrics and neurology which combines with sports physiotherapy, assessing and treating runners using video analysis technology and muscle re-education. Andrea also has particular interest in soft tissue manipulation treatments both for the holistic benefits it offers and following injury.

Andrea’s hobbies include salsa, scuba diving and horse riding.

Lisa Cahalan

Lisa qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 with a master’s degree from the USA following which she worked in a Los Angeles hospital where she gained experience in orthopaedics, neurological and cardiac rehabilitation. She moved to London in 1999 where she worked in the NHS in orthopaedics, neurology, and care of the elderly. After 4 years she returned to New York where she studied Womens health and Paediatrics

Lisa then started a family and she now has two children (one daughter and one son) and having now returned to London with her family, she started working at Physio for All in March 2008 with a special interest in women’s health.

When not running around with her children, Lisa enjoys jogging, swimming and dancing.

Claudia Cocci-Grifoni

Claudia qualified in Italy in 2003 and was awarded a degree in Physiotherapy. Subsequently she studied for a postgraduate Masters Degree in Manual Therapy that lead to her first work experience in Brussels(Belgium). After moving back to Italy and working as a Physiotherapist both in private and public centers she came to London in November 2008. She is particularly interested in musculoskeletal conditions, postural education and in sports as well as general massage. 
Claudia's hobbies include Yoga, Pilates and jogging.

Maud Cioffi

Maud qualified as a physiotherapist in Paris in 1998 and went on to work in private practice in Paris specialised in women's health as well as muskulo-skeletal and post-surgery rehabilitation. She joined the Physio for All team in 2009 when she moved to london. Her specialisms include women's health (ante-natal and post-natal treatments, lower back pain, pelvic floor and abdominals strengthening) and Lymphatic Manual Drainage for swollen legs, bad circulation and lymphatic system disorders. Maud also runs the Baby Chest service at Physio for All.

Maud is also a keen sports person and has a special interest in musculoskeletal, sports injuries and post-injury rehabilitation. Her hobbies include travel, sports and diving.

Stephen Groves BSc MCSP AACP

Stephen completed his BSc in physiotherapy at Keele University in 2004. He currently works part time at Physio for All in the evenings and otherwise works at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist. he has particular experience treating acute and chronic conditions as well as post operative orthopaedic patients.

Cristina Mesquita – Osteopath

Cristina has an Honours degree from the British School of Osteopathy in London having previously taken a degree in Rehabilitation and a further degree in Sports Science at the University of Lisbon in 1997. Cristina has been an elite level athlete having represented Portugal and competed in Duathlon and Triathlon championships at International level

She has worked in the private and public sector as a personal trainer in the UK for 5 years and Cristina’s clinical practice specialises in the musculo-skeletal system as well as in cranial and visceral techniques, which incorporate manipulation and mobilisation of joints, stretching and soft-tissue massage, aiming to treat back and neck problems, sports injuries, headaches, respiratory conditions and gastro-intestinal problems.

Cristina speaks English and Portuguese.

Brigitte Rinner - Sophrology

Trained at the "Academie de Sophrologie Caycedienne de Paris XV " and then with Pr A. Caycedo for her Masters, she has been practicing sophrology in London since 2004, introducing the technique in the U.K.

She helps adults as well as children to learn how to relax, to cope with anxiety, stress, to prepare for a forthcoming event (exams, interviews, giving birth...) by becoming more aware of their body and mind and the way they both function. Sophrology gives us practical tools to be used in our everyday lives.

Brigitte has 3 children and enjoys Pilates, yoga and swimming.

Wendy Powell - No more Mummy Tummy Trainer

Wendy is the founder of No More Excuses Pregnancy and Postnatal Personal Training, established in 2002. She has extensive personal training experience in this specialist area, top level qualifications and industry credentials, & along with her team has worked with hundreds of pregnant women & new mums. Wendy’s qualifications include the Premier Diploma in Personal Training, ‘Fit to Deliver’ (highly respected pre & post natal accredited training) qualifications, as well as other personal training certifications including ‘Bosu’ & Boxercise. She is a member of The Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT), the British medical profession’s chosen source of qualified therapists & private midwives, as well as the Guild of Pregnancy & Postnatal Instructors (PNEX).

As a busy mum of two under fives, Wendy understands the realities of pregnancy, childbirth & postnatal recovery. She is an aspirational role model in a ‘realistic’ way, showing that a mother of two pushing 40 can have a flat tummy & toned figure, without being obsessive or looking like a body builder!

Antonia Adeniji - Pilates

Antonia is both a qualified Pilates teacher (in both Mat and Equipment) and an Osteopath (registered with the general osteopathic council). Having graduated with an osteopathic degree in 1996 Antonia worked as an osteopath in Northern England (and completed an MSc in Public Health Nutrition) before going on to study Pilates at the renowned Australian Physio and Pilates Institute in 2008.

Sara Gallie - Pilates

Trained at the Royal Ballet lower and upper schools.  She went on to dance professionally at the RoyalBallet Company in London for 18years where she worked through the ranks to soloist level.  After her dancing career she took teaching exams in Cecchetti Ballet and ateaching course with Alan Herdman at Alan Herdman Pilates Studio in London.

Sara is currently working for Alan Herdman in his London Studio and also instructing new teachers on the teacher training course.  She also works at Central School of Ballet.  She has also worked at: The Harbour Club, Grayshott Hall, Royal Academy of Dance and was part of the
original team at Central Pilates in Islington.

Sara has been a member of the Physio For All team since May 2002.

Sarah Parkinson- Pilates

Sarah trained at the Royal Ballet School and continued her ballet career for several years in the UK and Germany. She first trained with the Pilates Institute and has continued her studies with body Arts and Science International and Alan herdman Pilates. She has been a fitness instructor for over 10 years and enjoys teaching Pilates because it helps to sculpt and fine tune our bodies ina calm and stress free environment. The result is an overall growth in confidence, better quality of movement and posture whilst gaining strength and toning.

Sarah joined the Physio for All team in 2007.

Sally-Anne McConnell - Pilates

Sally trained and graduated in 1995 at the New Zealand School of Dance. She went on to dance professionally in New Zealand, London and in New York, working for both contemporary and classical companies. While dancing in New York, she took a Pilates training course with Teri-Lee Steele, at Dance New Amsterdam, in 2005. After teaching Pilates in New York for 4 years, to both private clients and to groups, she has recently moved to London and is furthering her Pilates education with Alan Herdman’s Pilates training course. As well as teaching at the central school of ballet, she is pleased to take on Physio4all as one of her first Pilates jobs on this side of the Atlantic!

Lucy Cullum - Pilates

After many years in the photographic field, Lucy's love of exercise and well being led her to train at the Alan Herdman Teacher Training Course in body conditioniong and remedial exercise at his London Pilates studio. After qualifying she went on to work at the studio and has experience of taking Pilates into the festival arena (such as the Big Chill) and enjoys working with people in small groups and 1:1 incorporating both mat work and equipment.

When not teaching, Lucy enjoys the arts, cooking, music and outdoor pursuits. She joined the Physio for All team in 2008.
